Professor of Agronomy
University of Wisconsin–Madison

Michael Casler's is interested in the genetics and breeding of perennial forage, biofuel, and turf grasses. Genetics of traits related to nutritional value, cell-wall structure, cell-wall degradation, and bioenergy conversion; pest resistances; and stress tolerances (drought, freezing, and grazing) are primary subjects of Casler's research.
