Received his PhD in 1998, from Chiba University, Japan. Held the position of Assistant Professor, 2010-16, Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, at MSU. Also was an Adjunct Professor, 2008-10, for Yokohama City University, Japan. From 2000-10, he was a team leader forRIKEN Plant Science Center, Japan. Takahashi's research focuses on molecular mechanisms of plant sulfur and nitrogen metabolism.
