Steve Hartig

Steve Hartig is a former senior executive with nearly 40 years of experience in growing and transforming international specialty businesses through innovation, joint ventures, mergers and acquisitions, and organic growth. Prior to his retirement and shift to consulting, Hartig was the vice president of technology development at ICM, a leader in the development of technology for biofuels. His hands on experience across biofuels, specialty materials, polymers, chemicals, and in multiple industries including industrial, automotive, electronic, biomedical and coatings fields gives him an excellent understanding of the importance of technology as a basis for innovation and commercial business success. Hartig studied chemical engineering at the University of Michigan. Hartig is a member of the Strategic Advisory Board for the Center for Advanced Bioenergy and Bioproducts Innovation at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
