Jim Steele

Jim Steele serves as general manager of the Lactic Solutions product group at Lallemand Inc., a leading company providing fermentation ingredients to the biofuel industry.  He manages a product line focused on the use of lactic acid bacteria to control contaminants in biofuel fermentations and to enhance ethanol yields. Prior to joining Lallemand, Steele was Winder Bascom Professor of Food Science at the University of Wisconsin–Madison Department of Food Science and CEO of Lactic Solutions LLC.  He holds a PhD in genetics from the University of Minnesota.
