Cristal Zuniga

Cristal Zuniga, a computational biologist, specializes in mathematical modeling and metabolic reconstruction of bacteria and eukaryotic organisms. Her lab at San Diego State University explores microorganisms vital for biological water and air treatment, bioproduction, global cycles, and the health and disease of higher organisms. 

The lab integrates experimental and computational methods to study microorganisms in isolation, their interactions with other microbes, their environment, and their hosts.
