Professional Development Opportunities

The Research Experience for Teachers program is now accepting applications for Summer 2012 (July 9-August 18). Participants spend six weeks on the UW-Madison campus, where they work on developing classroom activities related to bioenergy. Applications are due April 23, 2012. For more information, click here. Curriculum and Research: Energy: A Multidisciplinary Approach for Teachers (EMAT). This online course will focus on energy concepts, with emphasis on alternative energy. Applications are due April 1, 2012. For more information, click here.    


Classroom Resources

Vernier has developed a new kit that investigates enzyme action as a part of making biofuels. To learn more about the kit, click here. GLBRC E & O has used this experiment in our UW-Madison freshman undergraduate course with great success!
