The Research Experience for Teachers program is accepting applications for the Summer of 2011. The theme this year is “Bridging the Disciplines: Playing with Numbers” with a focus on sustainability research at GLBRC. Applications are due Feb 28!

New! Poker Chip Model of Global Carbon Pools and Fluxes This short (15-20 minute) activity provides a way to improve understanding of a commonly published diagram of global carbon pools and fluxes. Students create a scaled 3-D visual of carbon pools and net fluxes between pools with anthropogenic influences.

USDA Announces Grants to Boost Sustainable Bioenergy Education. UW, MSU, and GLBRC's Education and Outreach Program will be involved in this new initiative with the College of the Menominee Nation.
