For most, the ideal summer vacation does not include donning lab goggles, performing hands on field research or analyzing data. The teachers who participated in the 2010 Great Lakes Bioenergy Research Center (GLBRC) Bioenergy Institute for Educators, however, looked forward to being students again.

Topics include classroom materials on life cycle assessment, using fast plants, bioprospecting and biotechnology, and school-based field research.  Two of our teachers from last year’s research program will present as well as our professional staff.  Earlybird deadline for WSST registration is March 15.
