- Bioenergy: development, use and applications
- Evaluating the sustainability of biofuels
- Carbon cycle and energy flow in the context of biofuels
- Nature of science as related to bioenergy research
- Development and use of classroom inquiry materials

- $500 stipend/participant, + funds to purchase materials.
- To apply, please complete the online application, which includes a short essay.
- Teams of teachers encouraged to apply.
- Participants are expected to use materials from the Bioenergy Insitute during the 2010-11 school year.
- The Insitute is designed primarily for grade 6-12 educators. Others are welcome to apply.
